The Precision Products TA-400WW 40-inch spike aerator loosens soil and allows nutrients to reach your grass' roots. Like all spike aerators, it is best for use in black dirt and loamy soils. The aerator has eleven 10-gauge steel independently rotating, star-shaped blades that penetrate up to 2 inches. It attaches to nearly any mowing tractor, and features a steel-reinforced towing bar. For ease of use, a single-action level can be reached easily from the tractor, allowing the operator to engage and disengage the aerator with one pull. A 12-gauge steel tray holds an additional 150 pounds of weight to increase penetration level. The aerator rolls smoothly on two 10-inch pneumatic tires with steel wheels.
